Robert Longyear

Longyear has created illustrations for the Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, and Craft Alliance in St. Louis, among others. He has been represented by Charon Kransen Arts in the Miami International Art Fair, Art Palm Beach, SOFA Chicago, SOFA New York and SOFA West. He has lectured for the Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, at the “Crossroads Convening” at the Regional Arts Commission, St. Louis with artist Theaster Gates, and at SOFA Chicago as the “Emerging Artist” Lecturer.

His work was recently the subject of a feature article titled “Hip-Hop Hybrid,” penned by jeweler and independent scholar Bruce Metcalf in the Society of North American Goldsmiths Metalsmith Magazine. In his 11-year career, Longyear’s work has been exhibited extensively in more than 50 exhibitions in museums and galleries across the country from San Francisco to Washington DC, and abroad from Dublin, Ireland to Munich, Germany.
